Altova XMLSpy JSON and XML editor provides professional graphic pattern designers, code generators, file converters, debuggers, analyzers, complete database integration, XSLT, XPath, XQuery, WSDLs, SOAP, XBRL, and Open XML (OOXML) support, as well as Visual Studio and Eclipse integration, and more.
Altova MapForce is an award-winning tool for mapping, transforming, and integrating any pair of arbitrary graphical data in XML JSON、 Map data between databases, EDI, XBRL, CSV, Excel, Protobuf, and/or web services, and then immediately convert the data or automatically generate royalty free data integration code to perform repeated conversions, integrations, and so on.
Altova StyleVision is an award-winning tool for designing eye-catching reports and forms based on XML, SQL databases, and XBRL inputs. It enables the powerful functionality of XSLT to be realized in an intuitive and visual design tool, and adds rich content such as eye-catching charts, allowing designers and developers to focus on the target design (in HTML, PDF, Word/Open XML, and other formats) rather than the details of XSLT.
Altova UModel is the starting point for successful software development. Design application models intuitively in UML and generate Java, C++, C #, or Visual Basic NET code and project documentation. Alternatively, reverse engineer the existing program into a UML 2 software architecture diagram, and then fine tune the design and complete the round trip by regenerating the code. UModel is a UML tool that makes visual software design practical for any project.
Altova Databases Spy is a unique multi database query, design, and database comparison tool that can even generate beautiful charts directly from query results. It connects all major databases, simplifies SQL editing, database structure design, database content editing, database schema and content comparison, and database conversion. Compared to a single database solution, its functionality is only a small part of the price.
Altova DiffDog is a unique differentiation/merging utility suitable for file, directory, and database schemas and tables. This powerful and easy-to-use difference merging tool allows you to quickly compare and merge 2 or 3 text or source code files, synchronize directories, and compare database schemas and tables through its intuitive visual interface. DiffDog also provides advanced XML aware differentiation and editing capabilities.
Altova Schema Agent is a visionary tool for analyzing and managing relationships between XML based files - across projects, within enterprises, and even within enterprises. Schema Agent provides you with an accurate picture of the XML infrastructure in seconds, allowing you to understand how to efficiently manage, edit, and reuse components to improve productivity and reduce error rates.

Any question
Altova offers multiple licensing options for licensing its desktop development, mobile development, and server software products. Please use this page to learn about the different license types available and choose the type that best suits your needs.
Altova LicenseServer
Altova LicenseServer is a free product that provides centralized management of Altova desktop and server Software license. Here, you can easily manage, track, and deploy all key codes for Altova products. In fact, for licenses and SMP subscriptions, you can choose to automatically deploy your automatic renewal license to the License Server.
Whether you are moving licenses on a virtual machine or on the network, Altova LicenseServer allows you to effectively manage tasks from an easy-to-use web-based administrator console. Altova LicenseServer makes license compliance easier. It even sends automatic emails to remind you of the upcoming renewal deadline.
Using Altova LicenseServer requires:
For installed user licenses, LicenseServer is not required, but for convenience, it is recommended to use it.
To start using, you only need to install Altova LicenseServer on the network accessed through a browser.
Desktop development tools
There are three license types available for Altova desktop development tools. These types are described below, and you can find more information in the End-user license agreement. The license is sold in 1, 5, 10, 20, and 50 package sizes. Each packaging size has a built-in price discount, starting from 5.
Single User License
Installing a user license is purchased based on the number of computers on which you want to install the software.
For example, if you purchase 10 installation user licenses, you can install and use the software on up to 10 computers.
Concurrent User License
A concurrent user license allows you to install the software on 10 times the maximum number of licenses on a computer, provided that only users with a license number use the software simultaneously. For example, if you purchase 20 concurrent user licenses, you can install the software on up to 200 computers and use the software simultaneously on up to 20 computers.
All concurrent user licenses must be used with Altova LicenseServer.
Specify User License
For each named user license, you can install the software on up to 5 computers or workstations. This allows users to switch from one computer to another if necessary, provided that the named user only uses one instance of the software at the same time.
Multi user naming license
Enterprises can purchase a single key code that can accommodate multiple named user licenses. This will eliminate the need to obtain a separate key code for each named user. In LicenseServer, the administrator assigns licenses to each named user based on their UPN (User Principal Name), which is their network ID. This is particularly applicable to users working in virtual environments (see below).
All named user licenses must be used with Altova LicenseServer.
virtual environment
You can use Altova desktop software in a virtual environment. These environments include host terminal servers (such as Microsoft Terminal Server or Citrix Metaframe), application virtualization servers (such as Microsoft App-V, Citrix XenApp or VMWare ThinApp), or virtual machine environments.
You can use the software on a standalone personal computer and/or a persistent virtual machine (VM) with all license models. In all license models, the use of software in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) is also allowed, but the VDI should adopt a non dynamic network configuration, that is, a stable host name or IP address.
However, if you are using the software in a terminal server or non persistent VDI environment, or if your persistent VDI is assigned a dynamic host name, you must use the applicable Altova LicenseServer and have a named user license.
All uses should be made within your internal network for the sole purpose of allowing individual users within your organization to access and use the software.
Using Altova software in a virtual environment requires the use of Altova LicenseServer.
License Pool
For all concurrent and named user licenses, you must use Altova LicenseServer, and you can also use LicenseServer to manage installed user licenses.
Concurrent and installed user licenses can be grouped on the same Altova LicenseServer, while named user licenses must be used on a separate Altova LicenseServer. This is because concurrent and installed user licenses are assigned to each computer, while named user licenses are assigned to each user.
If you already have an existing license to convert to a different license model, for example, if your infrastructure is transitioning from a standalone personal computer to a dynamically allocated virtual machine, please contact the Altova sales team.
Please note that management can only be done through LicenseServer when running the Altova desktop developer tool Version 2017 or later.
Server software products
Altova server products, including MobileTogether servers, FlowForce servers, RaptorXML servers, MapForce servers, and StyleVision servers, are licensed under server licenses as described below. For more information, please refer to the Altova Server Software License Agreement and the Altova MobileTogether Server Software License Agreement. The license is sold to 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 24, and 32 core servers, with built-in price reductions starting from 2.
Annual Per Server License
Altova server products are licensed annually, by server, and based on the number of cores available on the machine. You must obtain a separate license key code for each server. The number of licensed cores must be greater than or equal to the number of available cores on the server, whether physical or virtual. For example, if the server has 8 cores, a license for at least 8 cores must be purchased.
If you are using a computer server with a large number of CPU cores but only a low amount of data to process, you can also create a virtual machine with a smaller number of cores allocated and purchase a license for that number. Of course, this deployment speed will be slower than utilizing all available cores on the server.
In addition, if you wish to run the server product in single threaded mode, i.e. disable parallel execution, you can purchase 1 core license and run the licensed server product in single threaded execution mode on servers with multiple cores. However, please note that the advanced version of our server product does not support single threaded execution mode.
In terms of allocating cores, Altova server products do not consider hyper threaded cores as two independent cores. Only calculate the actual number of cores on the physical machine or the number of virtual cores assigned to the virtual machine.
The Altova server software product must be used together with the Altova LicenseServer.
The information on this page is for explanatory and explanatory purposes only. If there is a conflict, please refer to the detailed definition, specifications, and license authorization in the actual license agreement.
